Alderson is a town in Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 238 at the 2010 census. The town is located in southeastern Oklahoma, about 20 miles south of McAlester.
Alderson was founded in 1887 and has a rich agricultural history. In the early 1900s, the town was famous for its peach production, and it was home to a large number of orchards and fruit farms.
